Hello!
I'm Kelsey Robbins, a writing coach and test prep tutor based in Chicago.
For over 12 years, I’ve worked with high school, college, and graduate students to build the skills, strategy, and confidence needed to reach their personal and academic goals. I’m known for combining a warm, supportive approach with structured guidance and high academic standards.
I specialize in helping students craft exceptional personal narratives and achieve high scores on the SAT and ACT verbal sections. Whether your child wants to draft a compelling narrative or improve their test performance, I can provide clear structure, expert insight, and individualized support every step of the way.
Before launching my private practice, I spent five years teaching and advising undergraduates in the University of Chicago’s Division of the Social Sciences. I hold a PhD in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago and a BA in Late Antique Cultures from Brown University. When not tutoring, I can usually be found researching new pedagogical tools, cheering on the Boston Celtics, or exploring local playgrounds with my toddler.
